Academics from our school's Forestry Department visited the Amasya Forestry Regional Directorate as part of a cooperation protocol aimed at the education and professional development of our students.
During the visit, Forestry Regional Director Ferdi Özer, Deputy Forestry Regional Director Ömer Akça, Permit and Easement Branch Manager Mehmet Murat Çoldur, Samsun Forestry Operations Manager Menderes Özkolay, and our school's Forestry Department faculty members Dr. Ergün Kahveci and Lecturer Betül Tahmaz met.
The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between the Amasya Forestry Regional Directorate and our school, and providing students with training, internship, and practical application opportunities. It was also stated that within the scope of the "Sector on Campus" program, the goal is for professionals such as the Regional Director, Branch Managers, Operations Managers, Operations Chiefs, and Forest Protection Officers to actively participate in classes, sharing their professional experience, practical knowledge, and sectoral developments with students.
The meeting concluded with the assessment that inter-institutional cooperation would strengthen forestry education through practical application and make significant contributions to improving student quality.
