Forestry Department Sector Meeting and Cooperation Protocol

Three separate events were held by our Forestry Department to contribute to the professional and personal development of our students. The program was attended by Mr. Ferdi ÖZER, the Amasya Regional Forestry Director; Mr. Mehmet Murat ÇOLDUR, the Amasya Permit and Easement Branch Manager; and Mr. Yasin ACAR, the Niksar Forestry Operations Manager, who met with our students. Also present at the event were our Deputy Director and Head of the Forestry Department, Dr. Ergün KAHVECİ, Lecturer Betül TAHMAZ, and our Forestry Department students.

In the first part of the program, Mr. Ferdi ÖZER, the Amasya Regional Forestry Director, shared his knowledge and experience in the field of forestry with our students, offering insights into career planning, professional responsibilities, and the future of the sector. The importance of university-public sector cooperation was emphasized in the talk, which was met with great interest from our students.

In the second phase of the event, the “Niksar Ecological Activities, Education and Sustainability Community (NEFES)”, established within our Forestry Department, was introduced. Information was provided about the community's activities focused on environmental awareness, sustainability, and nature conservation, and its goals to contribute to the social and professional development of our students.

Another important step taken within the program was the signing of a cooperation protocol between the Forestry Department and the Amasya Forestry Regional Directorate. The protocol aimed to strengthen joint efforts to improve our students' opportunities for practical training, technical trips, internships, and sectoral experience.

At the end of the program, thanks were extended to Mr. Ferdi ÖZER, Mr. Mehmet Murat ÇOLDUR, and Mr. Yasin ACAR for their contributions to the career and professional development of our students, and it was emphasized that the collaboration would provide significant benefits to our students. The event concluded with a group photo.
