As part of the TOGÜ Springfest Clubs Fair, we visited the TOGÜ Disaster Club stand and met with our instructors and students from the Civil Defense and Firefighting Program. During the visit, we had the opportunity to learn about the activities carried out in the areas of disaster awareness, volunteer work, fire safety, and disaster preparedness, and witnessed firsthand the sensitivity and dedication of our students in this field.
On the other hand, the dedication and sense of responsibility shown by our Civil Defense and Firefighting Program students in the field during the intervention and recovery efforts following the flood disaster in Havza district of Samsun was a source of pride for all of us (alongside the sadness of the disaster). Our students, who actively participated in the work carried out under the coordination of the Tokat AFAD Provincial Directorate, reflected the spirit of social solidarity and volunteerism in the best possible way.
Throughout all these processes, we would like to express our gratitude to the Director of the TOGÜ Disaster and Emergency Research and Application Center, Lecturer [Name], who worked with great dedication as always. We would like to thank Mustafa Yıldız, our Head of Department and Deputy Director of the Center, Lecturer Gökhan El, and our program students, and wish them success in their studies.
