The Firefighting Week event—which had been postponed last week because some of our students were attending scheduled training sessions—was held at our Niksar Vocational School.

As part of the event, our School Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatih Sobacı and Deputy Director Ergün Kahveci met with our Department Head Lecturer Gökhan El, Lecturer Mustafa Yıldız, and our students.

During the gathering, wishes were expressed for a successful new academic term, and a special "Welcome" was extended to the first-year students who have recently joined our school.

In the conversation with our students, it was emphasized that firefighting is not merely a profession but a deeply meaningful duty requiring great responsibility and self-sacrifice—a role that entails standing by people during their most difficult moments. Students were advised to work hard and continuously improve themselves, noting that every piece of knowledge and skill acquired during their training—and every "plus-one" of added value they gain—holds significance for their own futures, as well as for our country and humanity.

The event also provided an opportunity to thank our academic staff for their dedicated efforts in fostering the professional and personal development of our students.

While Firefighting Week was celebrated last year with a cake-cutting ceremony, this year, congratulatory cards and chocolates specially prepared for the students were presented.

The gathering, held in a warm and friendly atmosphere, concluded with commemorative photos taken with the students and academic staff.

We once again celebrate Firefighting Week for the firefighters of the future; We wish our students success in their educational journeys and in the meaningful role they will undertake in the future.
